Mark Pelter has been a spiritual guide and counselor for 35 years, providing support for those seeking to understand and resolve their reactive patterns and emotional conditioning. His heart-centered work is grounded in his own ongoing spiritual practice and draws on decades of study in Eastern and Western wisdom traditions, as well as 12 years as a Buddhist monk.
Mark is the author of If You Can't Let It Go, Work It Through and Choosing What's Chosen You: A Guide for the Cultivation of Lovingkindness. He leads regular meditation practices, spiritual study groups, and mentoring within hospice and bereavement spaces, as well as offering individual counseling and coaching. He served as the Director of Twelve Meadows, a Center for Renewal, located in the High Sierras of California, before the Center burned in the 2008 wildfires.
Mark holds a BA in Psychology, an MA in Consciousness Studies, a Master of Divinity Degree, and has been a Board-Certified Chaplain for 26 years. He lives in Sacramento, California, and is a husband, a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
